2018 VYPE Austin Postseason Small School Football Rankings powered by TicketCity

Another Texas high school football season has come and gone, with the 2018 campaign wrapping up three days before Christmas. Check out the final VYPE Austin and VYPE Hill Country small school rankings (UIL 1A-4A, TAPPS and TCAL) to see who finished on the right note. These rankings are brought to you by

TicketCity/VYPE Austin Small School Top 10:

#1 Mason (16-0): The Punchers allowed 109 points to opponents in 2018, which paved the way to a perfect season and the UIL 2A Division I state title.

#2 Liberty Hill (13-2): The Panthers upset two-time defending state champ Carthage in the UIL 4A Division I state semifinals, but fell to Waco La Vega in the state title game.

#3 San Saba (14-1): The Armadillos outscored their first six opponents 315-24 in 2018, which set the tone for their run to the UIL 2A Division I state semifinal.

#4 Regents School of Austin (11-2): The Knights' season ended with a third straight TAPPS 11-man Division II state title game loss.

#5 Giddings (11-2): The Buffaloes earned regular season wins against area powers Cameron Yoe, La Grange, Rockdale, and Wimberley, which set up a run to the UIL 4A Division II Region III semifinal.

#6 Austin Veritas Academy (11-2): The Defenders brought the TAPPS Six-Man Division I state title back to Texas' capital city.

#7 Burton (10-3): The Panthers reached the UIL 2A Division II Region IV final after a 1-2 start to the season.

#8 Cameron Yoe (11-2): The Yoemen used a nine-game win streak to reach the UIL 3A Division I Region III semifinal.

#9 Granger (11-2): The Lions allowed eight points or less to opponents in seven games, so they recorded an 11-game win streak, and finished their season in the UIL 2A Division II Region IV semifinal.

#10 Richland Springs (11-2): The Coyotes had an 11-game win streak and a 112-point outing before their season came to a close in the UIL 1A Division II Region IV final.

Other notables: Cedar Park Summit Christian Academy (10-1), Giddings State School (10-2), Blanco (10-3), Fredericksburg Heritage School (8-2), Brentwood Christian School (8-3), Texas School for the Deaf (8-4)
