Lax Life: The midseason report; rankings

The lacrosse season is five weeks in and the state championships make for a fun Mother's Day Weekend.

VYPE's mid-season No. 1 The Woodlands Highlanders are in a class by themselves in the Bayou City.

So who is next? Seven Lakes would be considered a pleasant surprise this season and could make some noise in the postseason.

TWHS Lax comes in at #1 in our mid-season rankings.

Nothing would be better for the moms of lacrosse players from Houston than a state title trophy with a bow on it.

Memorial and Kingwood are a little down from years' past, but will put up a good fight.

On the DII level, Langham Creek's program is growing at a rapid rate. The Lobos have a bright future.

Welcome to our first lacrosse rankings of the year and follow to coverage all season.
