SETX Large School Top 10: October 9

Things have been pretty steady in the SETX Large School Top 10 the past few weeks, and that remains the same this week.

The high scoring Crosby Cougars piled up the points against last week in a 56-41 win over Dayton. In other action Port Arthur Memorial's defense continued their impressive season, holding Goose Creek Memorial to zero offensive points in a 50-2 district win.

Jasper continues to surprise people. The Bulldogs (6-0) are undefeated after handling West Orange-Stark, 34-24. Despite a (2-4) record the Mustangs are still in the top ten. Keep in mind all four losses have come against undefeated opponents; Nederland, Newton, Crosby and Jasper.

One other notable outcome had Port Neches-Groves edge Vidor, 38-32. With a healthy Roschon Johnson the Indians are still a threat in 21-5A. This week the tribe visits top-ranked Crosby.
