It's time to shake things up in SETX, just not up top. Our top three in the VYPE SETX Boys Top 10 remain the same with Beaumont United, Port Arthur Memorial and Silsbee all holding steady. And as we said last week, all three teams are equal in our eyes.
Hardin-Jefferson has surged up to fourth with their (10-1) start. The High Flying Hawks crushed the competition over the weekend to capture the Best of The Bay Tournament in Aransas Pass. The other biggest mover this week is Nederland. Now that the Bulldogs are at full strength, Brian English's team is extremely dangerous. Big Ned captured the Bulldog/YMBL Classic Gold Championship Saturday with a big win over West Brook.
West Orange-Stark is in the top ten for the first time this season. The Mustangs are (5-1) and look like a playoff team early on.
One head scratcher for a lot of people likely is seeing East Chambers drop to ninth. The Runnin' Bucs have yet to play a game this year, so we felt it was time to give other schools that have been busy these past couple of weeks some much deserved recognition. With that said look for Todd Sutherland to field one of the best team in SETX this year.
